In November 2023, the Yemeni armed forces carried out their military operations against the Zionist entity on the occupied Palestinian territories as well as in the Red and Arab Seas, with the aim of supporting the people of the Gaza Strip during the genocide committed by the Zionist aggression that took place at the Baptist Hospital.

At the outset of its intervention, the Yemeni Armed Forces affirmed that its position in supporting and backing the people of the Gaza Strip was legal, humanitarian, and moral, especially since the international community, represented by the Security Council and the Human Rights Council, had shirked its responsibilities to prevent the Zionist entity from committing genocide against the people of the Gaza Strip. The Security Council resolution was taken in January 2024, and it was met with widespread international human rights condemnation due to the international system’s disavowal of protecting the people of the Gaza Strip from genocide.
