Actor Henry Cavill (Superman, The Witcher) reminds viewers what all academics tell their students: never rely on Wikipedia as your source of information. Why? 1. anonymous open source method allows lobbyists, bias and random misinformation to overwhelm the entries, 2. reliance on secondary, ‘reliable’ sources makes it a captive of conservative source bias (e.g. corporate and state media). 3. rejection of primary sources and expert analysis just helps Wikipedia magnify (at best) a populist mish mash. Wikipedia is bad on history and worse on contemporary controversies.
